The Use Of Deadbeat Neighbors

I am going to share some insight here on what I do with all of my deadbeat neighbors. You know the ones, don’t play anymore, don’t share and don’t help with requests and so on. You all know who you are. LOL. I know a lot of players just cut them off clean because they think they are no good to you. I have news for you. That is wrong.  The max cap on neighbors is 300. I am right about at that mark. Only once in a while do I delete these neighbors and that is only to make room for new neighbors…

Keeping the ones that do not play make it easier for you to whip through certain goals and or quests. We all know how long it takes to visit your neighbors. It takes me around a week to do so. For the most part the ones that do not play are on the lower levels. What I do is go directly to those levels. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. I go straight there. The most recent goal was to visit 25 neighbors. I did so in about 15 minutes…

As soon as you log into the “deadbeats” city, collect your reward of energy and go directly to the next city. Since they do not play there is no sense in collecting, businesses, housing or crops, unless of course you need to for a goal or whatever. Just whip through each one until your goal is complete. Now when you get back to your city not only is your goal completed quickly but also you now have a bunch more energy…

So I say “keep some deadbeats around” it will make your CityVille life a bit easier in the long run, not to mention quite a few of these players will still help with requests even though they may not play in their own city…

Franchise Thoughts

Here is the thing: franchising is important to the livelihood of our game play. IF you check in on your city once per day, look to see if your neighbors who have franchises in your city stocked their storefront. If they have, you will see the little energy logo over their franchise, then that means they are fully stocked. Click on the storefront so they can Re-stock their franchise daily. The more you do it, the more you earn from that business as well. Everyone wins.

If you do not check in on your city daily, then no worries, not everyone has the time to do so, but do remember to check for it, when you do finally log into your city.  Everyone loses out if you do not. You are only allowed 20 franchises in your city, so choose wisely when you get to your last 10. You want ones that earn you the most coins. Preferably top ten businesses.

If you have neighbors that never stock their franchise (s), then it is time to let them go if you need the room. If everyone stocks & re-stocks their franchises daily, the amount you earn goes up tremendously. You want your franchise to have 5 stars to get maximum returns. You do not have to stock franchises that come to your city unless you feel the bonus coins are worth it. As long as the owner stocks it daily and you are accepting it, everybody wins…

New Expansion Cost

OK we are now at $500,000 for a new expansion and i am not even close too as much land as i need. From what i have been told, when the game first came out the cost was not this much so a lot of players were actually able to get new expansions at a lower cost than it is now which explains a lot. If that is not the case then hopefully some of my other veteran players will inform me as well.

Will this be the cap? I somehow doubt it...

Expansion Costs!

This is probably the most ridiculous part of this game. The costs of expansions are going through the roof. My most recent cost was $375,000. The next one is going to cost $435,000. That is an increase of $60k. Who knows how much more it is going to be. What a waste. We get bonus coins from $25 to $257 when visiting others, not to mention little amounts of collection bonuses on our franchises but yet the new cost is $60,000 more for land. Stupid.

I can understand buildings  costing 1million or more because of what you get out of it, but the size of the land is not worth the cost.

Thanks for letting me vent. As much as I love this game, I guess some things have to be stupid. Yo development team, how about you put a cap on the expansions? What is next, 1 million for land? That happens and I am done!

As always thanks for the read.

Energy. Energy, Energy

As the title states.  Energy. Energy, Energy and some more energy on top of that. In the beginning it isn’t too much of an issue but that can change very quickly. As I am sure you have noticed it goes pretty quick and takes awhile to get back.

Whenever the games asks if you want to send a gift to your neighbors do so. In fact 90% of the time energy is what we need most. Hey it is free and costs nothing from us except a couple minutes. The other 10% is for zoning permits but we will get into that at a later date. If you can send the 3+ then do so. Trust me everyone wants and needs it. Only a few ways I know of to get energy. Time, neighbors, purchase with city cash, visit neighbors daily or level up. (once and a while you will also get bonus energy while collecting rents on any and all of your buildings)

Not to mention it takes out the guess work of “should I send a statue?” Not saying that statues are bad, they are all part of decorations and pay bonuses on rents upon collecting from housing or businesses if placed correctly. Hey if you want something in particular from a neighbor, such as a fence. Ask them directly to send you one. Don’t be shy this game is great; when you have a lot of neighbors to help each other out it is even better. Teamwork at its finest.
