This can be a very tough thing to do. Yes I know this from all the BS I have dealt with over the years. Below you will find a few of my secrets to finding great companies. Don't fall for a lot of hype, unless that hype is backed up by a solid foundation. The two top things needed are; Terrific Administration/ Management and A Boatload of cash to pay us as representatives...

I personally have found two terrific companies using these techniques and I hope you will see it as well. Now that you have read my top two reasons for picking the businesses I use, here are some other factors you need to use in order to determine which company fits for you. When trying to evaluate which Network Marketing or MLM Program you should join, you need to look at these factors:

1. How Long Have They Been In Business?

2. How Good Are The Companies Products?

3. Are They Certified By The Better Business Bureau?

4. How Competent Is Your Upline To Properly Train You?

5. Is the Company You Want To Join Currently Having Any Legal Issues?

6. Do They Allow On-Line Advertising?

7. How About Team Training Calls?

8. See If They Offer Yearly Conventions Or Special Training Events.

9. Do You Have A "Warm And Fuzzy" That You'll Go "Far" After You Join?

10. Can You Contact The Owners OR Top Producers In The Program?

11. Are They Debt Free?

12. Have They Hit The Momentum Phase Yet?

Use these tools along with the brain we were given and you should do fine. Remember whatever you choose to do, do not give up! Nobody said owning your own business would be easy but with a little effort you will be successful…

Over the past few months, I’ve been helping Robert Kiyosaki's team with their online marketing strategies, and just got back from a trip to his Phoenix office.

The picture to my right is my friend John who handles the web work for Robert, and he'll be a guest speaker at the Traffic Formula LIVE event here in Austin this month.

It’s probably safe to assume that you’ve read a copy of this Best Seller, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”.

It’s funny how a few words on paper can start a global movement, which is exactly what’s happened, with over 29,000,000 copies of his books being sold world-wide.

I’ve definitely learned a lot from Robert, and it’s been a real privilege to work with he and his team.

What I’d like to share with you now is one of the most valuable insights I’ve gained from my time with Robert. Please take the time to read this email today, because I can promise that you’ll never look at yourself the same way again once you do.

Have you ever thought about the word “winning”, and what it means to you?

For most of us, the word “winning”, is a very simple concept. You create a goal, and when you achieve it, you’ve won.

Well, there’s actually much more to it then that, because you’re subconscious mind has it’s own definition for “winning”, and whether you like it or not, you and your entire life are run by this little bugger.

If your subconscious doesn’t want you to “win” when it comes to wealth and money, you’re not going to. Period.

By definition, your subconscious thoughts and its agenda for your life are hidden from you, unless you’ve trained yourself to communicate with it.

If you don’t know what its definition of “winning” is for you right now, how can you ever move forward? And that’s the point on this letter… We’re going to find out what “winning” means to your subconscious right now…

There are 5 ways for you to win...

1: You win when you’re comfortable. This person’s primary goal is to just go through life as comfortably as possible. They don’t want stress. They don’t want to be pushed or challenged. They don’t like conflict. The just want to go through life on cruise control, hanging out with their friends, and having a good time. Everything they do is designed to support their pursuit of comfort.

This is your average, life-long employee who’s more than happy to have a safe, stable, comfortable job.

If you push this person away from that goal, and challenge them or their routine lifestyle, watch out.

2: You win by being liked. This person’s primary goal in life is to be liked by others. They want acceptance from everyone, and will do just about anything to reach that goal. They’d rather be liked, than be right or wrong.

When you put someone like this in a leadership role, the business will usually fail because they won’t be willing to make hard decisions that would anger someone. They would try to please everyone all the time because their ultimate motivation is to be liked by others.

3: You win by being right. This person is usually an expert in a specific field like a professor, lawyer, or a wife. (Just kidding ladies! ?). People who win by being right, don’t accept criticism and aren’t open to new ideas.

They tend to reach a glass ceiling when it comes to money, their career, and relationships, because they can’t accept their short-comings in order to move past them and achieve personal growth. Arguing with this person never works because they’ll always find a way to prove you wrong, even if it means sabotaging your company in the process.

In order to win, this person must be right.

4: You win by winning. This person is an achiever. Their primary motivation is to win. They are very competitive, and will do whatever it takes to win. They won’t quit, and they’ll constantly push themselves to gain the edge they need.

This category describes all successful entrepreneurs and athletes. Winning is their reward, and on the dark side, some of them will go too far and compromise their integrity in order to do so. Key Lay of Enron is a great example.

This type of person doesn’t care if others don’t like them, and they welcome discomfort because it provides them with new opportunities to win.

This is how Robert wins, and looking at my past, this is how I win... Two State Championships in cycling. The #1 marketing system in the industry. Millionaire before 30. I win, by winning. I am constantly evaluating and improving myself, and will do whatever it takes, (with integrity), to be the best. Period.

5: You win by losing. This person wins by being a victim. They want sympathy from others or their spouse. Just when things start to get better, they will sabotage themselves, and say, “I knew it wouldn’t work”, giving them their victory once again.

There lives are always filled with problems because they don’t win unless they lose, so they create circumstances and excuses that help them fulfill that destiny like, “Your book won’t teach me anything new. I don’t have the money. This is just another scam. I’ll give it a try…”

Now if you’re like me when I was exposed to this, you’re taking a long hard look at your life right now.

There are people who are not wealthy because they want to be comfortable. There are people who are not healthy because they want to be comfortable. There are people who are stuck in the same job without a promotion for 10 years because they want to be liked. There are people who are addicted to struggle because they win by losing.

And most likely, you see a little of yourself in each of these categories.
I know I do, but what’s important to remember, is that winning is a continuous process that is brought to an end once you’ve won, which is an event.

As soon as you’ve “won”, the process starts all over again.

This is why you tend to feel lost or unfulfilled after you achieve a goal.
I know that once Magnetic Sponsoring became the #1 marketing system in the industry, I got lazy for a year. I had won and didn’t know what to do next. I was a winner without a goal, so comfort took its place.

Once I was inspired by a new goal, my entire focus went back to “winning”, which is where I am right now.

I don’t know where you are at this moment in your life, but I do know this… Entrepreneurs win by winning, and they’ll do whatever it takes to fulfill that subconscious desire.

If your subconscious’ desire is to REALLY “win” in networking or your home business right now, then you should already have copies of Magnetic Sponsoring and our other courses on your desk because they are physical representations of your true desire.

If you don’t, then you need to take a long hard look in the mirror and ask yourself why? Do you really want to “win” in this industry, or are you after something else…?

Take A Break Already!

I cannot stress how important this is. No matter if you work at a regular job or at home you need to do this and I will tell you why. Too many of us while at work just keep on working. No lunch, no break no nothing. If you keep this up it will be damaging to your health, physically and mentally. This was stressed to me many years ago because I was stressing out at my job and my bosses knew it. One of them pulled me aside and explained how important it is to take your breaks and especially your lunch. I don't mean eating at your desk either. I mean going away from that environment for a short time. Thirty to sixty minutes is all you need…

It doesn't matter what you do as long as it isn't work related. When I had an hour for lunch this is what I would do. I would eat my lunch and read for thirty minutes, and then I would take a cat nap or siesta for twenty to thirty minutes. It is amazing how refreshed you will be after using this technique. You have to remember this. Your work and/ or problems will still be there when you return but your mindset will be more relaxed and guess what? Your productivity will increase as well…

One of my friends is stressed all the time so I have been working with him. I am having him read for ten to fifteen minutes during his breaks each day. By reading it will take your mind to another place and keep it away from your stressful environment for a short time. By changing your mindset for that short time it will refresh you, I guarantee it…

So take advantage of your breaks for a healthier mind and body or you can keep on stressing out and put yourself in an early grave. It is your choice. Personally I don't think any of us want that to happen and I know your families definitely want you to be around…

“Dream A Little Dream”

You know dreaming is something most of us have done throughout our entire lives. It goes back to when you were a kid and wanted to be a fireman or astronaut or whatever. So my question is what happened? As we all got older the dreams changed but for some reason most stopped dreaming or at least didn't think about it daily like in the past. You get kicked around all over the place and being that we are all human, emotions get in the way. You see when you are young; you haven't had to deal with all the same crud that older people have been through. When you are young you really don't care so much. You get back up easily, just like that young fighter who gets knocked down and stands right back up…

So it is time to change our thinking. Remember mindset? Well it all goes back to that. We have to get back into the mindset that good things happen to those who DO NOT give up. In my travel business we have an older gentleman of 74 yrs. He is making a boatload (or should I say cruise ship) full of money. He gave up for a time but decided to keep pushing and because of that he can live out the rest of his life knowing it was worth it. That is what I am talking about. Keep pushing forward. As one of my mentors Jim Cobb always says "Today is a new day". That is the attitude we have to keep. It doesn't matter if you don't hit all of your goals. That is normal. You will get there if you keep pursuing. How many successful business people deal with getting knocked down along the way before reaching their goals. Well let's see. Maybe all of us! Keep moving forward until you reach what you are striving for…

It is time to start dreaming again. I don't care what your age is, it just doesn't matter. Whatever your dreams are you have to continue to fight for them. Whether you want a new car or a dream home or maybe you are like me and want a great motor coach for traveling around the country. The sky is the limit. The hardest part is finding the right vehicle to get you there. I am on my way with no end in sight and it is a great feeling. Whatever your dream is write it down, cut out pictures. Post everything all around you in your home and office to continually look at as a reminder why you just drove 80 miles for nothing. When it turns out even though it feels like nothing it actually was something. It is your mind letting you know it wants you to continue on towards your goals and dreams. I have post its all over my place as well as pictures of trips I want to take and other things as well. I am not talking about just material items. I am talking about all of our life aspects. Material items are fine and will come along for the ride, but to touch others lives in the process is something special. To see others prosper from your efforts is very special and will make you sleep very well at night…

Now I am going to stress the most important aspect of dreams. Goal setting. Many people have dreams. Rich people have goals. You see, you have to ask yourself; "How do I plan on making my dreams come true?" You have to find that vehicle, plan or niche that will get you there. More and more people are doing just that and leaving their jobs and careers. I am not saying to give up on your dreams. All I am saying is this, start writing it down, find ways to get there. In todays day here in the US we are all going to have to pick a side; Rich or poor. Fight right now for your dreams, just like the young fighter who kept getting back up after getting knocked down…

To recap; Start thinking what you want out of life and stir up your emotion. All of these things will get you there. Write it down, take a picture, print it out, research, do your due diligence, I don't care how you do it or how long it takes…………. Just do it!

How Important Is Your Mindset? Part 2

All right, now that we have lifted your backside off the couch and away from the idiot box it is time to get to some nuts and bolts of your mindset. So many people fail miserably because the moral majorities are so blindly driven towards making money that they forget about their mindset. When you are a business owner you have to develop a mindset that will get rid of bad habits that prevent you from doing things that are the most important to your business…

You have to spend the time to develop the proper mindset. When you have the proper mindset it will make your life richer. You have the ability to participate more actively in life, lets you build better relationships with your people and your team. All of this will help you to become successful…

The first thing you are going to do in changing your mindset is to visualize. Take a more active role in you. See yourself as a leader and team builder. Whether at home, work or even in your community. Play an important part in your immediate environment…
Secondly, start visualizing when you go to bed at night and when you wake up in the morning, that each and every day is going to be better for you. Each and every day keep this thinking. When you do this, you are creating a mindset that will better allow you to be prepared for the next opportunity that comes your way. Some of which you might have let pass you by before…
Third, write down (on paper) your dreams, goals and passions. You have to write them down to reinforce your commitments…
Fourth, organize your mindset. Break down your dreams, goals and passions. You can do two lists; short term and long term. (simple goal setting) This allows you to work on your short term goals on a daily basis, one at a time. What I find funny is, as you work on the short term goals you will surprise yourself as you get to the long term ones as it will just happen. Stay committed to having a well organized mindset and it will help keep your goals realistic…
Fifth, how do you perceive yourself? Ask a few of your friends. Ask them how they perceive you? This is one key in validating yourself. Compare the answers you get. You might find that your friends have a good insight to your character that you might not have noticed before. This will help you to get rid of any false perception you may have of who you are. Our friends will help to validate who we are occasionally. Also understand this. Some people are not happy when you have a direction. They will make it a point to try and change your way of thinking. Each and every time you come in contact with these types of people ask yourself, “Why should I believe them”? People who do not have the proper mindset will not understand where you are coming from. Many of them subconsciously do not want you to succeed. They want you to stay in the same boat as they are. Don’t get wrapped up in negative responses and thoughts and keep your mindset positive. This is your life not theirs…
Sixth, you are now taking your first steps in changing you mindset forever. Keep your focus and always move forward. By doing this you will achieve your goals and have anything you want in life. Forever Keep Your Mindset…

Just A Quick Thanks!

Before I get into my next blog I just want to say thank you to my readers for helping make it successful. Without you my writings would not get out to the masses. As you know I try to give quality content about things we can all use on a daily basis. Sometimes the readings get emotional, whether it is negative or positive I try to stir the fire under all of us and bring out our emotion. This is needed for us all to stay motivated sometimes. Trust me I know. The content I write about is full of information that I have learned over the years. (Mostly the hard way)...

I have taken note over the years on things I have been taught. Mainly through trials and tribulations, speakers, readings, conferences, mentors and world financial leaders, just to name a few. I Then do my best to forward these things on to you, the reader and to the masses. Personally if I can touch just a few lives with my writings, then I have been successful in doing so. Take note on how much all of us can learn from our leaders now. (and I mean financial leaders) Leaders that are in fear for our economy in this country and the world...

How Important Is Your Mindset?

This is an answer you have to tell yourself on a daily basis. Whether it is in your home based business, your brick and mortar business or even for your financial future, for you and your family. If you don’t step up now and start to plan for your future. When will you? Where will you be in five years from now? Do you have a plan of action, to make your future brighter for you and your family? If you don’t you will be in the same situation five years from now, that you are in today. Do you think your 401k will be enough for your retirement? Do you think social insecurity will be there for you? Right now the baby boomers are retiring at a rate of 10,000 per day. If all of them got a SS check for $1000 per month, SS will be at 75 billion per month. Still think we will get SS when we retire?

It all comes down to your mindset and it is time to start now, not five years from now. My last blog was about procrastination and that is where it all starts. Stop procrastinating and change your mindset now. I attended a business presentation last week. The gentleman who gave the presentation was nineteen years old. Nineteen! He is still young and has the proper mindset because he hasn’t been exposed to all the negativity that most of us have had to deal with over the years. Does that mean it is too late for the rest of us? I think not. If you change your mindset right now you will still have a shot at your own personal greatness. It is up to you…

The first thing you need to do is to start writing down the things you want to achieve over the next 1 year, 3 years and 5 years. It is called “Goal Setting” which I will get into detail in a later blog. It doesn’t take much to start thinking about where you want to be in that amount of time. There are vehicles that will get you there you just need to start looking for them. Get out of your comfort zone and start making your future look bright. After all isn’t that what you truly want. We can all dream about our futures but without a vehicle to get there, all they are, are dreams…

Start paying attention to the greats, such as Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Warren Buffet, Steve Down and the like. These are financial experts who are now giving us information to brighten our financial futures. Ask yourself this question? How much television do you watch every day? Are you willing to get out of your comfort zone and use that time to work toward your future? If you do not get out of you comfort zone now, when will you? In five years or maybe never? Do you think that 70 year old working at McDonalds wants to? Chances are they have to, not because they want to. This country is headed for two classes very quickly, the rich and the poor. Our middle class that has thrived so much over the years is now disappearing. So now is the time to take action in your life and get out of that comfort zone…

Procrastination♦

Need I really say much more? The title says it all. Procrastination is the number one killer in the Home Business Arena. Too many of us (yes myself included) have procrastinated long enough. I don’t have time, I don’t have the money, and I don’t have, blah, blah, blah. You have to take action in order to have results. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard “I need more information and have to take it slow”. No! When you get involved take immediate action. Get with your leaders and let them help you start building your business. Learn as you go. You do not have to know everything right away before doing something about it…

Besides if you know too much in the beginning you might talk too much anyway. I cannot tell you how many times I verbally threw up on someone because I spoke too much. In the beginning become a “Master Inviter”. Invite people to see a presentation but do not say too much. Let them become qualified first and once again don’t say too much. Let the presentation do its job. We will get into this topic more at a later date…

The problem lies within us. I think some of it may be fear. You know fear of actually doing something on your own and actually succeeding at it. We have been programmed since birth to work hard, save your money, invest and diversify. It doesn’t work today like it did 20 – 30 years ago. You know why over 80% of the people that take on the challenge of their own Home Based Businesses fail. You guessed it. Procrastination…

Our middle class is going away quickly. We are going to end up with two classes; Poor and Rich. Which do you prefer? Take action for yourself and your family now. Do not wait until it is too late. Let’s all change our mindset now and just go for it. It is time to start making a living, living…

Ok so now you have the scoop on personal branding so I will keep this one short and to the point for now. By now you know about noise and becoming more personal with your prospective clients. The biggest thing you can do is to thank them on a regular basis for being with you. Make your clients understand how important they are to your business and you to theirs as well. Information is key now. Everyone is looking for information. Remember IT stands for information technology. This is the Information Age. I will discuss that more in another blog at a later date...

People need to see you as a regular person just like they are. Remember I am no different or no better than anyone else. I put my pants on one leg at a time just like everyone else does. The only difference is what you make of it. Regular people are making terrific livings in internet marketing. Why do you think this is? They grab the bull by the horns and go for it. They don’t continue to make excuses. Excuses are just another form of procrastination. Another topic I will have in a future blog.

Now on to the key points:
· Brand yourself before your product…
· Always continue to give information to your people…
· Always thank them for their participation…
· Don’t be known as a product jumper…
· Do your due diligence before bringing it to your people…
· Do not introduce a product or service unless you use and endorse it…
· Remember this is your business, so treat it as such…
· If you want a hobby take up bird watching or something…
· Most of all have fun with it. Enjoy it and be rewarded…
· Lastly - Pay it forward…

“Personal Branding For Success” Part two...

Ok so now you know about noise from part one. One of the things we are going to do in order to personally brand ourselves is to have a bio posted which will give a little insight as to who we are on a personal level. This will show our potential clients that we are human like everyone else and not just some Internet marketer out there playing the numbers game to make a sale. Now don’t get me wrong many marketers do this and are successful as well. My question is this: “How long are they going to be around? How long will they hold their reputation? Will they become known as product peddlers?

Personally I want to be around for a long time. I don’t want to be known for selling products and/ or services and neither should you. I use one social network used for business which is very cool but check this out. The first day I was in the network I received 100 emails from other members. I figured, hey that is cool people want to chat and welcome me to the network. Boy was I wrong. Out of the one hundred messages I received, eight‐five of them were about their business opportunity. No branding, no hello. Oh sure there were some welcomes in the message as well, followed by; “Check out this biz op, check out the power of this product”…

One lady in the network sent me a message welcoming me and stating “Do you know the power of such and such? Check out my website” I sent her a message back about putting yourself on top of the Google search ranks to help in branding yourself using a bio. You know what she sent me back in the message? “How about you network in here before sending out a business opportunity?” Can you believe that? A biz op? Did she even look at it? Apparently not or she would have known it was not a biz op. Now if that is not the pot calling the kettle black I don’t know what is. She also stated she is all over page one and to do a Google search of her name. So I did the search and she was correct she was all over page one. You know what wasn’t there? Yep you guessed it, nothing but sales and business opportunities. To be fair on one of the pages there was a tiny little bio off to the right that you could barely read which was about her…

Well by now you get the point. It doesn’t matter if you are an internet marketer or in real estate, auto sales or any other type of high profile business, branding yourself is truly important in your success today. How great is it to tell all of your clients “Google ME”. When they do, there you are on page one with your bio stating who you are and what you are all about. This is step one in “Personal Branding” for your success. I urge you to take a look at the Google Me program. It will put you and your bio on page one almost immediately…

“Personal Branding For Success” Part one…

This is a subject that can make or break your long term goals in the internet marketing arena. You will hear me use the term “branding” on a regular basis, from emails, websites, auto responders or capture pages. Branding yourself properly can determine your success...

Another term you will see me use is “noise”. The term noise is commonly used in marketing, more so when it comes to internet marketing. The explanation I use goes something like this. Two of us are in a crowded room. You are standing across the room from me and it is especially noisy. I am trying to get your attention any way I can, from waving to you or trying to yell across everyone else to get your attention. Well the same thing applies to all of us while trying to get the attention of our future business partners and/ or customers…

We all know how important it is to get our point across using internet marketing. In this example I will use search engines such as Google. We all want to be on page one. The first page is where the majority of internet users find what they are looking for. Some will go to page two if needed but after that I wouldn’t count on it. Our goal is to be higher up on the page ranks. Now that being said, the content on page one can be anything you want it to be, from promoting your business, blog, press releases, articles or bio.

The most important thing you want on page one is something that brands yourself first and your product second. The reason for this you may ask? If you read through other business people’s pages you will almost always see the same thing. Buy this or that or join my business, it is the best thing since sliced bread. This is what you see everywhere. There are so many to choose from it will make your head explode. So what we want to do in the new internet age is to “Brand” ourselves more than our product in order to stand out from the rest. Remember the room? Most internet marketers don’t understand this concept, which gives us all an edge for the time being...

“The Importance of Your Subscribers”

Hi Everyone,

One of my current businesses in which I am a part of, I am an Independent Marketing Representative for Friendswin.com and I am about to reveal a few things about network marketing or MLM in general that have to do with having a subscriber base. Here is something you may not know. I have been involved in network marketing for almost twenty years now and let me tell you. Friendswin is a heck of a lot more fun than selling soap and a lot more lucrative as well…

That being said NM/MLM has changed so much over the past few years due to the internet that normal marketing efforts just don’t work the way they used to. telling people, flyer's, home meetings and etc. Top marketers might not like the way that ownership changed a compensation plan or even worse take their downline with them and quite a few of yours as well. You know how I know? If you were thinking that I was one of them then you are correct. I lost quite a few people in my downline at one point a few years ago. Your commissions disappear as fast as the soap I used to sell, after being in the shower for three days… poof… gone... This is just a couple of examples. Now don't get me wrong. If you can handle rejection, then you can continue to do these things as well. I will get business anyway possible, you just have to be able to handle it.There are a few other things that can throw a monkey wrench into our systems as well but stay positive and learn how to market effectively on the internet and you will succeed…

Which brings me to the point of the article…Your Customers/Subscribers are yours. Nobody can take them from you. I am not saying don’t build a downline. I am saying concentrate on your subscriber base and the IMR’s will follow. And they will be quality IMR's as well.....

Now a lot of you are wondering what this title means? It can mean anything you want it to be. From being wealthy or debt free, Maybe being able to quit your job (my favorite), or being able to travel wherever and whenever. I leave that up to you. I took this notion and idea upon myself many years ago when I first came into the idea of helping others with their financial future and teaching them or getting them training they so deserve and desire…

The only problem back then was oversaturation in the great network marketing companies that had so much to offer but no where to get complete training. So called gurus that don’t even use their own programs. It is no lie when you hear statistcs about 95% of marketers not making the cut, so to speak and I know this. You know how? I was one of them. So there was a short period of time I couldn’t fulfill what I wanted to do when it came to helping others become free. So I put everything on hold…

With the birth of the World Wide Web I could see things changing for the good. It took awhile but I am now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel again. The internet helps you reach out like never before so now I can reach out to others once again. Internet marketing today vs. ten years ago. what can you say? Wow. You see, the internet is about 90% untouched in marketing businesses. That gives us all a shot at beating the ninety-five percentile. Let’s change that to eighty percent, shall we?...

So this is the way it is now. We are at the start of a new journey. A journey at becoming free in whatever you choose to do, instead of doing what you have to do. You make the choice and you make the difference…

I can now go back to what I had originally planned and that is to help others to be successful and to give you the freedom that you and I both deserve…
